The invention further discloses a preparation method of the light overlay gypsum building material. The light overlay gypsum replaces putty powder, the cost of raw materials is lower, the scraping color is more uniform, the volume density of the light overlay gypsum is relatively low, the strength is higher, the wall surface can be better protected, the falling condition is not prone to occurring, and the effect is better.
