The invention relates to a steel box girder rapid erecting device and a construction method thereof, and aims to solve a technical problem that the construction period is prolonged due to the fact that moving efficiency of a steel box girder is low. The steel box girder rapid erecting device comprises a plurality of pushing supports and a dragging support, wherein pushing driving pieces are installed on the pushing supports, and sliding rails are arranged at the bottoms of the pushing driving pieces; a pushing driving piece for driving the pushing driving piece to move along the sliding rail is arranged at one end of the sliding rail; a counter-force beam is installed on the dragging support, a counter-force rope penetrating through the counter-force beam, a dragging driving piece located on the side, away from the pushing driving piece, of the counter-force beam and a fixing beam are arranged on the counter-force beam, the counter-force rope is installed in the fixing beam, and the dragging driving piece is used for abutting against the fixing beam to tension the counter-force rope; a mounting support used for being mounted on the steel box girder is arranged at the end, away from the dragging driving piece, of the counter-force rope. The invention further discloses a construction method of the steel box girder rapid erecting device. The method has the effect of improving moving efficiency of the steel box girder so as to shorten the construction period.
