The invention discloses a fish-swallow-type water surface garbage cleaning robot. The robot comprises: a double-hull body, wherein a garbage collection box is arranged in the double-hull body; a salvage mechanism which is used for salvaging floating garbage on the water surface and pouring the garbage into the garbage collection box after the garbage is separated from water; and a garbage gathering unit which is arranged in the garbage collection box and is used for gathering the garbage. The robot can effectively improve cleaning efficiency of the floating garbage on the water surface and reduce the consumption of manpower and material resources, the garbage in the garbage collection box is collected through the garbage collection unit, and the problem of insufficient garbage storage space can be solved.
