The invention discloses a passive intelligent lock which comprises a lock body and a lock rope connected with the lock body to form a closed loop. One end of the lock rope is fixedly connected with the lock body; a lock head is arranged at the other end of the lock rope; the lock body comprises a shell and a lock hole which is formed in the shell and allows the lock head to be inserted into the shell; the lock body further comprises a spring bolt rotationally arranged in the shell and close to the position of the lock hole, a locking driving assembly arranged in the shell and used for limiting the spring bolt and an elastic component arranged in the shell and providing elastic restoring force for the spring bolt; and a locking clamping position is formed on the lock head, and a locking part matched with the locking clamping position is arranged at the end of the spring bolt. The invention further discloses a locking and unlocking method based on the passive intelligent lock. Through cooperation of the spring bolt, the locking driving assembly, the elastic component and the lock head which are of special structural design, the automatic locking and unlocking functions can be achieved, locking and unlocking operation is simple, convenient and rapid, and the operation complexity and burden can be reduced; and no metal contact exists during charging, and use is safe.
