The passive lock comprises a lock body part and a key part, the lock body part comprises a first control module, a wireless power receiving module, a mechanical lock body and a first communication module, and the wireless power receiving module, the mechanical lock body and the first communication module are connected with the first control module; and the key part comprises a second control module, and a wireless power transmission module, a second communication module and a fingerprint input module which are connected with the second control module. During use, the second control module verifies fingerprint information input by the fingerprint input module, after the fingerprint information passes, the wireless power transmission module is started to supply power to the lock body part, and verification information is sent to the first communication module through the second communication module; and then the first control module verifies the verification information received by the first communication module, and a driving device is used for driving the mechanical lock body to realize unlocking/locking after the verification information passes.
