The invention discloses a preparation method of gypsum-based anti-crack mortar for an aerated concrete plate. The anti-crack mortar is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 40 to 50 parts of building gypsum powder, 50 to 60 parts of machine-made sand, 0.05 to 0.1 part of a gypsum retarder and 0.1 to 0.2 part of cellulose ether which are used to prepare the gypsum-based anti-crack mortar for the aerated concrete plate. The product disclosed by the invention is gypsum-based anti-crack mortar which is green, environment-friendly, relatively high in adhesive property and relatively good in anti-crack effect, and is used for bonding or leveling between board walls and boards in the mounting process of aerated concrete boards; the product has higher tensile strength and crack resistance, can effectively enhance the connection strength between the aerated concrete plate and a main body structure and between the aerated concrete plates, and improves the shear resistance of a wall body and the overall anti-seismic property of a building.
