A horizontal sliding window with an airtight structure comprises a first window sash, a second window sash and an airtight structure. The first window sash and the second window sash can move between a first position and a second position. The airtight structure comprises a first hook piece and a second hook piece. The first hook piece is provided with a first attaching face and a first back face which are back to back. The second hook piece is provided with a second attaching face and a second back face which are back to back. When the first window sash is located at the first position, and the second window sash is located at the second position, the first attaching face contacts with the second attaching face; a defined first reference plane is perpendicular to a first vertical frame plane, forms a first included angle with the first attaching face, and forms a second included angle with the first back face; a defined second reference plane is perpendicular to a second vertical frame plane, forms a third included angle with the second attaching face, and forms a fourth included angle with the second back face; the first included angle and the third included angle are obtuse angles, and the second included angle and the fourth included angle are acute angles.
