The invention discloses a construction method for prolonging the radial width of a highway bridge, and the method comprises the following steps: 1, firstly, carrying out the comprehensive investigation of an existing highway bridge, detecting the bearing capacity of the bridge through equipment, and confirming a broadening design standard according to the data; 2, after detection is completed, disassembling handrails on the two sides of the existing bridge and pedestrian crossing plates; and 3, synchronously conducting construction at the two ends of the bridge according to the widening design standard, firstly, arranging a guide rail on one side of the bridge, and then hoisting the bearing device to the guide rail through a crane. Widening work of the highway bridge floor is completed through the movable bearing device, and thus the problems that according to the existing highway, the cantilever is usually erected on the bridge to hoist the mold used for widening the bridge, the bridge floor widening is achieved in a concrete pouring mode, but the cantilever erecting process is tedious, the construction efficiency is affected, and in the whole construction process, the number of lifting elements is large, and the falling danger is likely to happen.
