The invention discloses a weathered sandstone-containing subway station foundation pit excavation equipment selection method. The method comprises the following steps that (1) geological conditions are surveyed and determined before excavation of a subway station foundation pit, and geological stratums contained in the geology are determined; (2) according to the matching relationship between the rock-soil strength and thickness of each geological stratum and excavation equipment, the work efficiency assignment of each geological stratum and the excavation equipment is determined; and (3) the excavation equipment of each geological stratum is selected according to the working efficiency assignment. According to the method, for the weathered sandstone-containing subway station foundation pit, a geological condition and optional equipment configuration table is established before excavation of the foundation pit, various excavation schemes are analyzed, and the scheme with the optimal engineering value is obtained through combination, comparison and selection. The method reduces selection errors caused by human limitation, avoids resource waste, and supports safe and efficient engineering construction.
