The invention relates to a core-shell structure carbon nanotube reinforced carbon/carbon composite material and a preparation method thereof, wherein the core-shell structure carbon nanotube reinforced carbon/carbon composite material comprises a CNT reinforced C/C composite material shell layer and a CNT-free pure C/C composite material core layer, the thickness ratio of the shell layer to the core layer meets a certain value, and the core-shell structure is prepared by a two-step process of combining catalytic chemical vapor deposition (hereinafter referred to as CCVD) with isothermal chemical vapor deposition (hereinafter referred to as ICVD). Compared with a pure C/C composite material, the bending strength and the bending modulus of the prepared core-shell multi-scale C/C composite material can be improved by 50% and 13% or above respectively.
