The novel unit type roof system comprises a plurality of roof units. A roof unit comprises a supporting frame, a roof structure and a connecting assembly. The supporting frame is connected with a building structure main beam. The roof structure is arranged on the supporting frame. Roof structures of every two adjacent roof units are connected through the connecting assembly. According to the novel unit type roof system, the roof structure of a building is divided into a plurality of units, so that the roof structure can be manufactured, prefabricated and perforated in the factory, the roof structure can be transported to the site for hoisting and after the main body structure of the building is completed, manufacturing and machining work is avoided, site welding work is avoided, and aloft work is reduced.
