The invention provides a large rock plate paving process in the technical field of building decoration. The paving process comprises the following steps: leveling and paving a leveling layer on a ground base layer, determining the paving position of each rock plate on the leveling layer, and performing line snapping and position determination on the periphery of the specific elastic paving position of each rock plate by using a line snapping tool; forming a first telescopic groove in the snapping line position on the periphery of each rock plate, and forming a second telescopic groove in the wall corner edge; evenly brushing gum on the laying faces of the rock plates, after the gum on the laying faces of the rock plates is condensed, flattening the rock plates through a flattening device, and conducting stable shaping on flattening gaps by using glue till all the rock plates are flattened; and cleaning seams between the rock plates, then conducting seam filling treatment through a seam filling material, after the seam filling material is solidified, polishing the seam filling material through a polishing tool, and smearing floor tile antifouling wax on the surface of the polished seam filling material. The construction process is low in requirement and easy to operate.
