The pier protection structure comprises an anti-collision body, wherein the anti-collision body surrounds a pier, a gap is arranged between the anti-collision body and the pier, and the head-on collision face of the anti-collision body is a slope. Due to the fact that the head-on collision face of the anti-collision body is the slope, when a vehicle collides with the head-on collision face, vehicle impact energy can be converted into lifting potential energy, and direct collision force of the vehicle is reduced; and the gap is formed between the anti-collision body and the pier and can isolate the pier from the anti-collision body, so the anti-collision body is prevented from transmitting vehicle impact energy to the pier, the pier can be protected, the safety of the pier is guaranteed, and the damage degree of the pier when a vehicle collides with the pier is reduced.
