The wallpaper comprises a surface layer and a bonding layer, wherein the surface layer comprises a base layer and an adsorption pad, the base layer is formed by mixing paper pulp and diatom fibers, the adsorption pad is formed by pressing bamboo charcoal powder, and the bonding layer is made of glutinous rice glue. According to the bamboo charcoal diatom purification wallpaper and the preparation method thereof, the base layer is formed by fusing the paper pulp and the seaweed fibers according to the proportion of 10:1, so that the mildew-proof grade of seaweed is zero, the antibacterial 3A and anti-mite functions are achieved, and the flame-retardant limit oxygen index is larger than 47; and the adsorption pad is distributed and inlaid on the base layer, so that the effects of purifying air and removing toxic substances of the wallpaper are greatly improved.
