The preparation method of the coal gangue brick comprises the following steps: 1, heating, crushing and sieving coal gangue and montmorillonite to obtain first mixed powder; uniformly mixing clay, boric sludge and the composite aerogel, and crushing to obtain second mixed powder; 2, mixing the first mixed powder and the second mixed powder, and adding water to obtain a mixture; adding the mixture into a mold, and carrying out pressure forming; and 3, pouring out the pressure-maintained bricks, firing, carrying out steam curing, and carrying out natural curing. The composite aerogel is a good skeleton supporting material, after the composite aerogel is added, the heat conductivity coefficient is effectively reduced, the modifier is added in the process of preparing the composite aerogel, and the hydrophobic performance is improved.
