The building damping structure comprises an upper connecting wall, a lower connecting wall and a damper, wherein the upper connecting wall and the lower connecting wall are opposite up and down and are arranged at an interval, embedded parts are arranged in the upper connecting wall and the lower connecting wall correspondingly, installing surfaces are arranged on the two embedded parts, the two installing surfaces are correspondingly exposed from the opposite end surfaces of the upper connecting wall and the lower connecting wall, the two embedded parts are correspondingly connected and fixed to main reinforcements in the upper connecting wall and the lower connecting wall in a welded mode, the invention further provides a building damping structure construction method which comprises the steps that firstly, the upper connecting wall and the lower connecting wall are manufactured, and the embedded parts are arranged in the upper connecting wall and the lower connecting wall; the two embedded parts are respectively welded and fixed with the main reinforcements in the upper connecting wall and the lower connecting wall; and secondly, the two ends of the damper are installed on the installation faces of the two embedded parts correspondingly. According to the solution, the stability, the construction efficiency and the construction quality of the damping structure can be improved.
