The invention discloses nanomodified glutinous rice mortar for an ancient building masonry structure, which comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 9.63%-9.83% of calcium hydroxide, 59.65%-60.88% of sand grains (the grain size is 0.6-1mm), 26.81%-27.35% of water, 0.5%-2.5% of nano silicon dioxide and 1.41%-1.44% of glutinous rice flour, and the sum of the mass percentages of the components is 100%. The invention also provides a preparation method of the nanomodified glutinous rice mortar. The glutinous rice mortar prepared by adopting the nano silicon dioxide as the additive is used in ancient masonry structure repair engineering with relatively high requirements on the glutinous rice mortar, can improve the compressive strength and adhesive property of a building, and meets the requirement of the ancient building masonry structure on high compressive strength of the glutinous rice mortar.
