The preparation method comprises the following steps: providing a green body layer; forming a ground coat layer on the surface of the green body layer; sequentially carrying out ink-jet printing on ink with different gray levels, and forming a first pattern decoration layer on the surface of the ground coat layer; forming a metal glaze layer on the surface of the first pattern decoration layer; sequentially carrying out ink-jet printing on ink with different gray levels, and forming a second pattern decoration layer on the surface of the metal glaze layer; and conducting sintering in a kiln to obtain the metal glaze rock plate. By the adoption of the method, the prepared metal glaze rock plate has varied texture, color, texture and layering effects, and the decoration effect of a product is enriched.
