The invention provides a liquid adding device for adding liquid. The liquid adding device comprises a box body with a containing cavity. The box body of the liquid adding device is limited on one side of an external closestool seat, and the box body is configured to be capable of being movably switched between a first position where a containing cavity of the box body is exposed and a second position where the box body is hidden in the closestool seat relative to the closestool seat in an operable mode. After the box body moves to the first position, the box body can be kept on the closestool seat, and an injection opening suitable for directly pouring an external solution into the containing cavity can be formed between the top of the box body and the closestool seat; a liquid outlet is formed in the bottom of the box body, and the liquid outlet can be connected with a foam box arranged in the closestool seat when the box body is movably switched to any position, so that the solution in the containing cavity is supplied to the foam box. The box body with the containing cavity is limited on one side of the toilet seat, so that a liquid adding mode above or behind the toilet in the prior art is canceled, and the liquid adding operation of a user is greatly facilitated. The invention further provides a closestool.
