The stone curtain wall system comprises a curtain wall unit, a supporting unit, a floodlight and an irradiation curtain wall unit, wherein the curtain wall unit comprises perforated stone assemblies and non-perforated stone assemblies, and a plurality of penetrating first light holes are formed in the perforated stone assemblies; the perforated stone assemblies are arranged in a centralized mode to form a light-transmitting area; the supporting unit is connected with the curtain wall unit through brackets, and an overhaul space is formed between the supporting unit and the curtain wall unit; the floodlight is installed in the overhaul space; and the irradiation curtain wall unit emits light outwards through the light-transmitting area. According to the stone curtain wall system and the construction method thereof, the floodlight can be protected, the influence of the surrounding environment on the curtain wall lighting effect is avoided, and the aesthetic feeling is improved.
