The invention relates to an automobile engine hood supporting mechanism which comprises a first supporting component with one end connected with an engine hood and a second supporting component with one end connected with an automobile body, and is characterized in that the second supporting component is of a hollow structure, the section of the second supporting component is wide in top and narrow in bottom, and a notch is formed in one side of the lower portion of the second supporting component; the first supporting component is of a long-strip-shaped plate structure, and a plurality of limiting teeth are arranged on the upper edge of the first supporting component; the other end of the first supporting component is inserted from the other end of the second supporting component, and the first supporting component can move relatively in the second supporting component; a limiting assembly is connected to the upper portion outside the other end of the second supporting component in a positioning mode, one component of the limiting assembly extends into the second supporting component and is correspondingly matched with the limiting teeth on the first supporting component, and the engine hood opened by a certain angle is supported. According to the engine hood, multi-angle supporting of the engine hood can be achieved, and the risks that operation convenience is poor and supporting cannot be achieved are avoided.
