The invention provides a device and method for adjusting differential settlement. The device comprises a plurality of differential settlement adjusting assemblies, at least one hydraulic pump station, a PLC electric control box and a switchboard. A steel structure comprises a plurality of stand columns, and the differential settlement adjusting assemblies are arranged under the stand columns in a one-to-one correspondence mode. Each differential settlement adjusting assembly comprises an upper cushion pier, a bottom cushion pier and a plurality of hydraulic jacks; the upper cushion pier is fixed on the bottom cushion pier; a telescopic rod of the hydraulic jack can extend out of the upper surface of the upper cushion pier, is arranged in the upper cushion pier and is connected with the hydraulic pump station; the PLC electric cabinet is connected with the hydraulic pump station and the switchboard; and the upper surfaces of the upper cushion pier and the bottom cushion pier are parallel to the horizontal plane. According to the device and the method for adjusting the differential settlement, a convenient method can be adopted for adjusting local differential settlement, and the adjusting method is simple, practical and easy to operate.
