The invention discloses a formwork device for a shear wall at a floor expansion joint and a construction method, the formwork device comprises two sets of steel formwork assemblies which are the same in structure and are arranged oppositely and a plurality of supporting assemblies, and each steel formwork assembly is provided with a wood formwork assembly; each steel mold assembly comprises a steel mold plate, a reinforcing unit and a positioning unit; the reinforcing units are fixedly arranged at the ends of the two sides of the steel formwork in the width direction and located on the side, away from the shear wall, of the steel formwork. The positioning units penetrate through the thickness of the shear wall and are located between the reinforcing units at the ends of the two sides of the steel formwork in the width direction. The supporting assembly makes contact with the lower end faces of the two steel formworks arranged oppositely. Formwork erecting can be carried out in the expansion joint in a narrow space, it can be guaranteed that the vertical plane size of the shear wall does not change at all, formwork forming can be safely and rapidly carried out for concrete pouring, and the shear wall which is high in strength, good in forming quality and uniform in structural stress can be obtained; the whole formwork device is convenient to install, easy and fast to disassemble and capable of being repeatedly used, and time and labor are saved.
