本发明属于水利工程技术领域，尤其是一种用于水利工程防洪堤坝修补装置及其修补方法，针对现有技术中不能及时对破损的防洪堤坝在线修补的问题，现提出以下方案，包括固定在坝体基座中间的缺口两侧的侧护基板一和侧护基板二，所述侧护基板二远离坝体基座的一侧表面固定有等距离分布钢丝绳固定接头，且钢丝绳固定接头的外壁固定有钢丝绳，所述侧护基板一远离坝体基座的一侧固定有卷绳箱，且卷绳箱为内设空腔的长方体结构。本发明可以在使用时需要对缺口进行填充的时候，通过挡水板的一块块拼合，即可先将汹涌的河水正面的冲击削减，之后再进行沙袋的填充即可避免被水流冲走。
