The binding type heavy hammer rammer compactor comprises a walking mechanism and a main frame integrated on the walking mechanism. The hammering mechanism is positioned on the front side of the main frame; and a hydraulic system; a stand column is installed on the front side of the main frame, and the hammering mechanism is integrated on the front side of the stand column. The hammering mechanism is provided with a hammer cylinder and a hammer rod, a hammer rod driving structure is in driving connection with the hydraulic system, and the hammer rod driving structure is discontinuously connected with the hammer rod to drive the hammer rod to move in the vertical direction; the rammer compactor further comprises a lifting mechanism. According to the rammer compactor, adjustment of forming of the hammer rod is achieved through the hammer rod driving mechanism and the lifting mechanism, the lock box of the self-locking structure can be opened and closed at any time according to working requirements, and the requirements for the perpendicularity of the hammer rod and a hammer head of the rammer compactor and the sensitivity of a free falling body are met. The rammer compactor is novel in structure, wide in application range and adjustable in hammering weight.
