The invention discloses a compact silicon nitride/hexagonal boron nitride composite ceramic and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of inorganic materials, the composite ceramic comprises the following raw materials by weight: 10-15 parts of cubic boron nitride powder, 23-35 parts of hexagonal boron nitride powder, 1-3 parts of cubic silicon nitride and 45-55 parts of a solvent. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the composite ceramic. The preparation method specifically comprises the following steps: (1) preparing precursor powder; and (2) preparing the compact silicon nitride/hexagonal boron nitride composite ceramic. The prepared silicon nitride/hexagonal boron nitride composite ceramic is compact in structure, does not need to introduce any additive and has a good corrosion resistance effect on high-temperature melt, and the quality of the silicon nitride/hexagonal boron nitride composite ceramic meets the use requirements of high-end industrial materials.
