The invention provides a soilless spray seeding matrix for a high and steep rock slope. The soilless spray seeding matrix is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by mass: 45 to 55 percent of iron tailings, 35 to 45 percent of dried sludge, 6 to 8 percent of poplar fiber, 1 to 3 percent of organic fertilizer, 0.2 to 0.5 percent of polyacrylamide and 0.5 to 0.8 percent of vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion. According to the soilless spray-seeding substrate, iron tailings and sludge serve as main raw materials, soil replacement is not needed, secondary damage to a soil source land caused by secondary soil replacement is avoided, the substrate materials can form an aggregate structure, and the substrate is loose, breathable, high in adhesive force, capable of meeting the spray-seeding requirement of a high and steep slope with the gradient larger than 60 degrees, good in water retention property and high in nutrient content, and has a good application prospect. Nutrients can be stably provided for plants for a long time, the survival rate of the plants is high, and the maintenance cost is low.
