The invention provides a drainage pipe network small flow metering device and an installation method thereof.The flow metering device comprises a flow sensor, a filtering device and a flow blocking device, the flow sensor comprises a metering pipe and an electromagnetic induction device, and the metering pipe can collect water flow; the electromagnetic induction device can meter the water flow in the metering pipe according to the Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction; the filtering device comprises a water baffle and a filtering piece; the flow blocking device is used for blocking water flow flowing out of the metering pipe so that the whole metering pipe can be filled with the water flow, and therefore collection and metering of raining sewage in a drainage pipe network in a small-flow, low-flow-speed and flow interrupted state are achieved, and the possibility of sedimentation at a water inlet can be reduced through the filtering device. Meanwhile, the invention provides an installation method, the ground installation angle of the filtering device is determined according to the pipe diameter and the size of a well, and the detection function and the self-cleaning function of the whole device can be achieved while the device is suitable for various well and pipe sizes.
