The invention discloses a subarea echelon differential grouting filling method for overlying strata. The method comprises the following steps that coring is conducted after construction, a mechanical test is conducted, and the position of a main key layer is determined; the plane position of a grouting hole is determined, an indoor simulation test is conducted according to the plane position of the grouting hole, and the filling material proportion of overlying strata subarea echelon grouting and the standing time T after grouting are determined; according to the material proportion in the second step, grouting is conducted through a grouting pump and the first layer of grouting drill holes; after the third step is completed, standing time is T, second-layer grouting drill holes are formed, second-layer grouting is conducted through a grouting pump and the second-layer grouting drill holes, and grouting filling operation is finished when grout precipitates in the caving zone to form a saturated compact. According to the method, the ultra-long drill hole can be used for multiple purposes, gradient layered grouting is achieved, the grouting settlement reducing effect is better, a slurry conveying pipeline is simpler, the filling cost is reduced, parallel operation of underground mining and ground grouting filling is achieved, mutual interference is avoided, and safe and green mining of coal is promoted.
