The invention relates to a roof garden greening planting box which comprises two planting bins, a drainage part and a planting box body, the planting bins are fixedly installed in the planting box body, and the two planting bins are distributed in a bilateral symmetry mode; the two planting bins are hollow, the top surfaces and the opposite side surfaces of the two planting bins are in a missing cuboid shape, each planting bin is composed of an outer wall and an inner wall, the outer wall and the inner wall form a cavity, the opposite side walls of the two planting bins are provided with U-shaped openings communicated with the cavity, and the U-shaped openings are communicated with the cavity. A sealing and fixing mechanism is arranged between the two planting bins, a drainage mechanism is arranged on the side face, close to the top face, of the planting box, and water diversion mechanisms are further arranged on the planting bins. The two planting bins are separated by unscrewing the nuts at the bottom, then the soil matrixes in the planting bins are taken out, the process of taking out the soil matrixes is simple and rapid, and damage to plants caused by digging of the soil matrixes is avoided.
