The grab bucket type trash remover comprises a frame 1, a rotary body 2, a driving unit 3, brush bars 4, guide wheels 5 and a trash grabbing device 6. Compared with the prior art, the trash remover is provided with a rotary body 2, a driving unit 3 and a brush strip 4. The guide wheel 5 can adjust the distance of the steel wire strand inserted into the trash rack bar by using guide wheels with different diameters. The rotating body 2 and the brush strips 4 are driven by the driving unit 3 to rotate to clean up aquatic plants and fibrous dirt attached to the trash rack bars, so that the water passing amount of the trash rack is increased, the water pressure difference of the trash rack is reduced, and the power generation benefit of a hydropower station is improved.
