The invention relates to the technical field of building materials, in particular to a preparation method of mortar for a concrete block, the mortar for the concrete block is formed by mixing a dry material and water, the dry material is composed of 22-25 parts by weight of cement, 10-15 parts by weight of aggregate, 18-22 parts by weight of quartz sand, 2-4 parts by weight of an anti-freezing agent, 1-2 parts by weight of an air entraining agent, 1-2 parts by weight of an early strength agent and 1-2 parts by weight of an expanding agent, the concrete is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 0.2 to 0.25 part of an anti-freezing agent, 0.2 to 0.4 part of an air entraining agent, 0.3 to 0.5 part of an early strength agent, 0.2 to 0.4 part of an expanding agent and 14.3 to 16.25 parts of water. According to the invention, the anti-freezing agent, the air entraining agent and the expanding agent are added into the mortar, so that the strength of the mortar can be effectively improved, and the mortar can adapt to different use environments, thereby avoiding the situation that the concrete block is damaged due to the use environment in the later use process of the concrete block manufactured by using the mortar.
