The invention discloses a steel slag antiskid pavement surface layer for an alpine region and a construction method of the steel slag antiskid pavement surface layer, and belongs to the field of road engineering. The pavement surface layer is formed by sequentially laying an embedded layer and a wearing layer, wherein the embedded layer comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 20-35 parts of steel slag, 45-65 parts of limestone, 10-11 parts of mineral powder and 6.5-7.0 parts of asphalt; the wearing layer comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 95-98 parts of steel slag, 0-3 parts of mineral powder and 1-3 parts of asphalt, the wearing layer is spread on the surface of the embedded layer after the embedded layer is paved, and the wearing layer is pressed into the embedded layer through low-speed rolling of a steel wheel road roller. The characteristics of large density, high strength, abrasion resistance, crushing resistance, good particle shape and the like of the steel slag are utilized, and the steel slag has good adhesive force with asphalt, is applied to special process pavements, has excellent skid resistance, water damage resistance, freeze-thaw resistance and durability, improves the driving safety, improves the utilization rate of the steel slag, and is low in cost, energy-saving and environment-friendly.
