The invention relates to the technical field of urban drainage systems, in particular to a method for automatically generating a sketch map of an urban drainage system. The method comprises the following steps that a general drawing template is designed according to pipe network topological connection, and the general drawing template is a basic pipe network general drawing; actual pipe network data files including inspection wells, pipe sections, structures and the like are obtained according to related design data and field investigation results, and the pipe network data files are generated into a model network library; a model network library generated by the pipe network data is calculated and processed by using the plug-in, so that the pipe network data is matched with a sketch template, and a drainage system sketch is formed; and matching attribute data, main feature data and interrelation data in the pipe network data with attributes, main features and interrelations in the sketch template to form a drainage system sketch.
