The invention discloses an embedded steel-concrete composite beam and a construction method thereof.The composite beam comprises a steel beam, the steel beam comprises an upper flange plate, a web plate and a lower flange plate, the web plate is connected between the upper flange plate and the lower flange plate, bearing plates are connected to the two opposite sides of the web plate respectively, a supporting plate is vertically arranged on the lower flange plate, and the upper flange plate and the lower flange plate are oppositely arranged; the supporting plate is supported on the bearing plate, a plurality of penetrating holes are formed in the web plate, and rib penetrating sleeves are arranged in the penetrating holes in a penetrating mode. The prefabricated floor slabs are placed on the bearing plates, and a pouring space is formed between the prefabricated floor slabs placed on the bearing plates on the two sides of one web plate; the reinforcing steel bar structure is arranged in the reinforcing steel bar penetrating sleeve in a penetrating manner and is connected to reinforcing steel bars of the prefabricated floor slabs on the two sides of the web plate; and the concrete is poured in the pouring space and wraps the steel bar structure so as to be solidified to form the post-cast strip. The problem that a traditional steel-concrete composite beam occupies a large floor height is solved.
