The invention relates to the technical field of water tower water tank installation, in particular to an accident water tower large water tank lifting method which comprises the following steps that a plurality of concrete supporting stand columns are arranged on the tower top face of a water tower body, and meanwhile a single-ring-beam hoisting operation platform is manufactured on the ground; hoisting the single-ring beam hoisting operation platform to the upper end of the water tower, and welding and fixing the lower end connecting upright post of the operation platform and the embedded plate on the concrete supporting upright post; a cross-core type hydraulic jack is fixed on the main ring beam, a prestressed steel strand penetrates through the cross-core type hydraulic jack and the water tank, and the prestressed steel strand is anchored and fixed on the water tank through a steel strand anchorage device; the steel strand is tensioned, and the hydraulic pump station controls the cross-core type hydraulic jack in a centralized manner to realize integral synchronous lifting of the water tank; the water tank is synchronously lifted through the single-ring-beam lifting operation platform and the core type hydraulic jack controlled by the hydraulic pump station, the ring beam manufacturing cost is saved, the construction steps of multiple times of lifting are reduced, and the construction efficiency is improved.
