The embodiment of the invention provides a battery replacing work station which comprises a supporting column fixed to the shore and a platform movably connected with the supporting column, the platform is provided with a ship stopping position used for stopping a ship, the ship stopping position can receive an insufficient-power battery from the stopped ship or convey a full-power battery to the ship, and the platform is further provided with a battery charging area. The battery charging area is used for placing and charging the power-deficient battery received by the ship stopping position or conveying the fully-charged battery to the ship stopping position, the battery charging area is provided with a charging device for charging the power-deficient battery, and the platform is provided with a platform supporting surface for supporting the charging device. The altitude of the platform supporting surface can be adjusted along the supporting columns according to the water level of a water area. The embodiment of the invention further provides a ship battery replacement method. The lifting height of the platform can be automatically adjusted according to the water level of a water area, ship batteries can be replaced under different water level conditions, and the use efficiency of a ship is improved.
