The invention belongs to the technical field of highway safety guardrails, and particularly relates to a composite highway safety guardrail which comprises a distance adjusting mechanism, two adjustable vertical frames, two transverse frames and a plurality of detachable guardrails which are evenly distributed, and pin holes which are evenly distributed are formed in the two transverse frames. The distance adjusting mechanism comprises a sliding groove, a two-way screw rotationally installed in the sliding groove and a hand wheel arranged on the two-way screw. According to the invention, the uniformly distributed detachable guardrails are arranged, during installation, the two bolts can be bounced into the two pin holes by loosening the two pressed pressing rods to realize locking and fixing, the assembly is convenient and fast, the assembly efficiency is improved, and meanwhile, during disassembly, the two bolts are separated from the two pin holes by pressing the two pressing rods, so that the assembly efficiency is improved. Therefore, the disassembly efficiency is improved; and a distance adjusting mechanism is arranged, the two transverse frames can be close to or far away from each other by controlling a hand wheel to change the distance between the two transverse frames, and mounting of guardrails with different lengths is facilitated.
