The invention discloses a hydropower station leakage drainage control mode based on the water inflow rate, which comprises the following steps: controlling the operation condition of a water pump based on the water level, and adding the water inflow rate as another operation condition; and setting a new leakage drainage control mode based on the operation condition to provide more personnel response time. According to the novel leakage drainage control mode for the buffalo house hydropower station, the water inflow rate is adopted as another operation condition of the drainage pump, and the novel control mode is designed, so that certain response time can be won for flood prevention of operators; the possibility that the plant is flooded by the hydropower station is prevented to a certain extent, and certain time is provided for evacuation and transfer of plant workers and important equipment.
