The invention belongs to the field of underground space development, and relates to an underground space development method for integral reciprocating translation of an existing building above a foundation pit, which comprises the following steps of: reinforcing a first support part area of the foundation pit to serve as a middle address for translation of the existing building, and performing construction preferentially, and translating the existing building from an original address to the middle address for the first time; constructing a pile foundation enclosure of the original site area of the existing building and forming an integral support, excavating the whole foundation pit to a base, and after the whole foundation pit is backbuilt to an underground first-layer plate of the underground structure, preferentially constructing an underground structure top plate of the final site area of the existing building; the existing building is jacked to the designed elevation at the middle site and then translated to the final site for the second time to be fixed to a newly-built final site underground structure top plate, a middle site translation platform is dismantled to complete sealing of the structure top plate, and economic and convenient overall development of the underground space below the existing building is achieved. The problem of underground space development below the existing building is solved, and good economic and construction period advantages are achieved.
