The invention discloses a wood-plastic co-extrusion building template and a preparation method thereof.The wood-plastic co-extrusion building template comprises a core layer and a PVC co-extrusion layer covering one face of the core layer, and the core layer is prepared from, by weight, 40-60 parts of PVC resin; 40 to 60 parts of mica powder; 1-2 parts of a coupling agent; 1-2 parts of polyethylene wax; 5 to 10 parts of a PVC impact modifier; 3-6 parts of an ACR processing aid; 5-10 parts of a heat stabilizer; 10 to 30 parts of a filling agent; 1-5 parts of an internal lubricant; 1-5 parts of an external lubricant; 10 to 20 parts of a foaming regulator; 1-5 parts of a white foaming agent; the PVC co-extrusion layer is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 60 to 80 parts of PVC resin; 20 to 40 parts of mica powder; 1-2 parts of a coupling agent; 1-2 parts of a solid plasticizer; 2 to 5 parts of a PVC impact modifier; 1-3 parts of an ACR processing aid; 5-10 parts of a heat stabilizer; 10 to 30 parts of a filling agent; 1-5 parts of an internal lubricant; and 1-5 parts of an external lubricant. A preparation method based on the wood-plastic co-extrusion building template comprises the following steps: (1) core layer material mixing: putting the raw materials into a hot mixer according to a formula, and mixing for 400-500 seconds;
