An elevation control device for road construction comprises a first base, an elevation body, a movable body, a pointer and a supporting hook. Wherein the first base is located at the bottom and bears an elevation body; the elevation body is provided with scales for indicating height and is fixed on the first base; the movable body is matched with the elevation body and can slide up and down along the elevation body, and when the movable body slides to a corresponding position, the movable body can fix the position relative to the elevation body; the pointer is located on the movable body and corresponds to the position of the scale of the elevation body; and the supporting hook is positioned on the movable body and can fix a steel wire for indicating the height. When the device is used in road construction, the defect that workers need to stare at the elevation all the time during construction is overcome, the construction speed is guaranteed, the construction cost is reduced, and the elevation control device is simple and practical in structure and safe to use.
