The invention discloses a roof soilless planting lawn stand structure and a construction method thereof, and the structure comprises a steel bar truss floor support plate which is installed at the top of a main body steel structure; the waterproof coiled material is laid on the steel bar truss floor support plate; the composite heat preservation layer is laid on the waterproof coiled material; the first protection layer is poured on the composite thermal insulation layer; the composite waterproof layer is laid on the first isolating layer; the second protective layer is poured on the composite waterproof layer; the liquid storage tanks are used for containing nutrient solutions, the liquid storage tanks are placed on the second protection layer, openings are formed in the upper portions of the liquid storage tanks, planting cover plates used for shielding the openings are installed in the openings, and limiting through holes allowing plants to be inserted therein are formed in the planting cover plates. The problems that according to a conventional planting roof structure, leaked water is difficult to repair, and the load generated by soil covering planting is large are solved.
