The invention provides a sizing device and a sizing method, and relates to the field of building decoration. The device comprises a feeding mechanism, a switching mechanism, a first plastering mechanism and a second plastering mechanism. The switching mechanism has a first state and a second state. The first plastering mechanism is connected with the feeding mechanism through the switching mechanism. The first plastering mechanism is used for coating the floor tiles with slurry. And the second plastering mechanism is connected with the feeding mechanism through the switching mechanism. And the second plastering mechanism is used for coating the to-be-tiled surface with slurry. When the switching mechanism is in the first state, the feeding mechanism communicates with the first plastering mechanism, and the feeding mechanism is disconnected from the second plastering mechanism. And when the switching mechanism is in the second state, the feeding mechanism communicates with the second plastering mechanism, and the feeding mechanism is disconnected from the first plastering mechanism. The method comprises the steps that when the floor tile needs to be coated with slurry, the switching mechanism is switched to the first state; and when the to-be-tiled surface needs to be coated with the slurry, the switching mechanism is switched to the second state. And the sizing device can realize dry paving and wet paving and is high in adaptability.
