The invention relates to ceramsite prepared by taking sludge as a raw material. The raw materials for preparing the ceramsite are geothermal well sludge, sewage treatment plant sludge and water. The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, dehydration treatment; s2, performing drying; s3, fine grinding; s4, performing granulation; s5, ceramsite drying; s6, sintering is conducted; s7, screening is conducted; and S8, detecting. The ceramsite is detected according to the national standards GB/T17431-2010 and GB6566-2010, and the results of the detected finished product ceramsite all meet the standard requirements. According to the ceramsite, waste utilization of the sludge is achieved, environmental pollution caused by direct discharge of the sludge is avoided, the ecological environment is protected, the production cost is low, resources are saved, certain economic benefits are also brought, and the prepared ceramsite has multiple purposes.
