The hanging telescopic operation platform comprises a movable platform which is slidably installed on a bridge box beam in the bridge direction and an operation mechanism which is connected with the movable platform and located on the outer side of a bridge. The operating mechanism comprises a connecting rod assembly arranged in the Y-axis direction and connected with the movable platform, and an operating platform which is in telescopic fit with the connecting rod assembly in the Y-axis direction and located below the bottom slope of the box beam. The invention also discloses a use method thereof. Construction of construction areas on the outer side and the bottom of the bridge in the bridge direction can be achieved; adjustment can be conducted in the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction according to site construction requirements, the requirement that box beams of different sizes are constructed through one set of equipment is met, the working efficiency is greatly improved, and the construction cost is reduced; and the construction safety is effectively ensured.
