The invention discloses a polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent and a mud-resistant sacrificial agent compounded by the polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent. The invention relates to an organic matter for compounding a polycarboxylic acid water reducer finished product, in particular to a macromolecular substance with a certain polyethylene oxide (PEO) chain length, which is technically characterized in that the macromolecular substance is prepared by reacting polyethylene glycol, cyclic monohydric alcohol and a catalyst under certain process conditions. The sacrificial agent disclosed by the invention can be preferentially adsorbed on clay minerals and can generate a steric effect, so that the adsorption quantity of clay on the polycarboxylate superplasticizer is reduced, and the mud resistance of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer is remarkably improved.
