The construction method comprises the following steps that S1, multiple sets of box girder assemblies are prefabricated, each box girder assembly comprises a box girder body and two end cross beams, and a through hole is formed in each end cross beam; s2, a temporary support is built, the multiple sets of box girder assemblies are sequentially hoisted and erected on the temporary support, and a plurality of communicated through holes jointly form a steel beam channel; s3, a transverse steel beam is prepared, the transverse steel beam is arranged in the steel beam channel in a penetrating mode, and after the transverse steel beam is tensioned, the two ends of the transverse steel beam are anchored to the two end cross beams on the outermost side; and S4, the multiple sets of box girder assemblies synchronously fall on the piers. According to the box-type bridge construction method, a bent cap structure in the prior art does not need to be arranged, so that the attractiveness of the bridge can be improved, in addition, the site construction difficulty is reduced through assembly type construction, the site construction period can be shortened, and the safety in the site construction process can be improved.
