The invention relates to a measuring and positioning system for pile sinking of an offshore large-diameter steel pipe pile and a control method thereof, and the measuring and positioning system comprises a first GPS, a second GPS, a third GPS, a first scanner, a second scanner, a third scanner, a fourth scanner, a first clinometer, a second clinometer, an outdoor protection box and a camera, all the components are installed on a measuring support which is independently arranged on a working ship. Compared with a traditional measuring and positioning system, the system has the advantages that piling and positioning can be comprehensively and automatically monitored in real time, all-weather operation can be achieved, influences of rain and fog weather are avoided, the system is provided with a complete database function, and hull parameter setting, coordinate conversion setting and pile parameter setting can be conducted; meanwhile, the posture of the ship body can be automatically monitored, the pile sinking position is displayed, and pile collision is prevented; pile parameters can be imported in batches and are convenient to input; the pile top elevation can be displayed in real time in the piling process; the perpendicularity of the pile body is automatically detected, and the measurement precision is high.
