The invention relates to a prefabricated shear wall system and a construction method thereof. The prefabricated shear wall system comprises a shear wall structure. The shear wall structure comprises a prefabricated outer wall and a prefabricated inner wall, the outer wall and the inner wall are connected and define a wall body, the outer wall comprises a sandwich layer steel plate and an inner wall, the inner wall comprises a reinforcing mesh and a vertical angle steel connecting piece, and the vertical angle steel connecting piece is connected to one side of the sandwich layer steel plate; the reinforcing mesh is connected to the side, away from the sandwich layer steel plate, of the vertical angle steel connecting piece, and the sandwich layer steel plate, the vertical angle steel connecting piece and the reinforcing mesh form the inner leaf wall through concrete pouring. Compared with cast-in-place, the prefabricated shear wall system provided by the invention has the advantages that the shear wall structure is prefabricated and formed in advance and then is assembled on site, so that the site construction operation is simple and efficient, and the site construction progress is accelerated to a certain extent.
